Jean GAZLAY DONALDSON was born on march 12, 1896 in Nutley (New Jersey) in the United States of America. She is the daughter of Andrew DONALDSON and Emma Jane GAZLAY. She married at the age of 15, against the advice of her parents, on February 11, 1910, with John Stanislaus KIRWAN, with whom she had a first child Andrew.
In July 1913, she married a second time with Winfield BURROWS SIFTON, with whom she had a daughter, the journalist and woman of letters Elizabeth Arma BURROWS SIFTON. She will divorce on July 7, 1919, to remarry on July 12 in Carcarana, in Argentina, with John Victor NASH. She divorce from NASH, on March 24, 1923, to marry on February 1, 1925, in Cairo (Egypt) with Prince Mohammed SABIT, who repudiated her the following month (March 3, 1925). On October 15, 1926, she married Paul DUBONNET in Paris. The DUBONNET-DONALDSON couple had a daughter, Anne Patricia DUBONNET. Their marriage ended in divorce on 8 July 1948. May 27, 1950, she marries her 6th and last husband, the stockbroker Guy Douglas BRIDGE PUCKLE. She died in Paris, 6 years later, on February 9, 1956, at the age of 59.
