Tony SANDRO (Jacques BENITA) is best known for having been the last lover of fashion designer Christian DIOR. DIOR was fleshy and, like many gay men who may not have the best physique, he had fairly low self-esteem and sought solace in food. Most of the men the couturier wanted became his friends, not his lovers. In 1956, when he met the young Algerian, Jacques BENITA (25 years younger), in order to become more attractive he decided to go on a diet, in spa treatment, in Montecatini in Italy just after presenting his latest collection.
