Photograph depicting a woman modelling a design by Annemarie HEISE. The design is presented in a way that is described as elegantly playful, and made up of a ruched fichu on a dark blue silk dress trimmed with turquoise embroidery.Annemarie HEISE was a fashionable Berlin based designer in the 1930s and 40s, popular with female screen stars as much as the wives of the National Socialist leaders. In addition to film divas such as Zarah LEANDER and Marika ROKK, clients included Magda GOEBBELS and Eva BRAUN. BRAUN wore a HEISE design on the occasion of HITLER's 54th birthday in 1943 on the 'Berghof' on the Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden.
