Watercolour fashion plate n° 1872 from the "Le Conseiller des Dames & des Demoiselles / Journal d'économie domestique & de travaux d'aiguille", represents women's wedding costume according to fashion trends in 1854.Engraving depicts two women modeling fashionable wedding gowns, richly decorated with flowers and lace. The dress on the left has long sleeves with lace cuffs and silk bows, and the woman is wearing a long veil with flower crown. The lady on the right is wearing a short sleeved dress, and also a floral wreath.
