Description
Pen sketch representing the actress and singer Marie Magdalene DIETRICH, known as Marlene DIETRICH.

It is probably a portrait of the singer during her last tour of the fields in France at the Pierre Cardin space. She wears the famous dress designed by the costumer of the Columbia, of French origin Jean Louis and made by the seamstress Elisabeth COURTNEY of the house Western Costume. This dress which “contributed to give Dietrich the sublime body of which she dreamed all her life” (according to her daughter) was made in a gauze of flesh color and appearance ultra light, delicate and vaporous, but in reality very firm that DIETRICH called "breath".
