Description
Light cotton muslin Empire style waistline dress with long sleeves. The gown consists of two parts: the bodice and the skirt which attaches to the the upper part on the front and on the back, creating decorative folds on the back. Both skirt and top are embellished with silver thread embroidered butterflies and flowers, adorned with cut steel sequins.
Comes from the wardrobe of the rich, but not noble family DE CARLI. They had a couture fashion workshop in Milan, and holiday house at Lido (Venice), villa Yolanda, in the style of Russian chalet.
