					Description
Limited collection tea set consisting of a teapot and a teacup with its saucer plate in its original boxes. Both teapot and cup are decorated with fashion engravings representing stylish women dressed upon the fashion of the Khrushchev Thaw (Russian: хрущёвская оттепель, khrushchovskaya ottepel, or simply ottepel), the period from the early 1950s to the early 1960s when repression and censorship in the Soviet Union were relaxed.
The collection of porcelain and crystal ware "The Thaw" became part of the collaboration project of the famous fashion historian and collector Alexandre Vassiliev and historical manufactories of Russia, such as the Imperial Porcelain Factory, Gusevsky Crystal Factory, Veliky Ustyug Northern Czern Factory, and Yelets Lace Factory , "Torzhok Gold Seamstresses." The collection includes cups, saucers, teapots and sugar bowls with images of fashionistas from the pages of magazines during the Soviet thaw. As well as dishes made of crystal - salad bowls, bowls, decanters. Table silverware, linen tablecloths and lace napkins made by craftsmen from Yelets complement the serving - all also in the style of that era.
