This postcard depicts a row of eight women contemplating a sculpted bust of a gargoyle-like creature in the Luxembourg Gardens, Paris.Two of them are facing their backs to the viewer and the rest of the women are in a three-quarter position, facing the sculpted bust.
They are all wearing fashionable outfits, whether they be dress or jacket and skirt ensembles. All of them are wearing oversized hats adorned with feathers, ribbons or flowers, fur muffs and stoles and high-collar shirts under their clothes.
