This postcard depicts an everyday street scene as well as an open, written letter.On the left side are three characters: starting from the left, a woman with a high and narrown purple velvet hat, short-brimmed and decorated with yellow lace, a pink high-collar shirt and a long black skirt. She is carrying an oversize hatbox in her right hand and a small fur scarf in her left hand.
Reaching for her face is a taller, much older man wearing a top hat, a large yellow coat with a black fur brim, striped blue pants and a cane.
At the back, looking behind her shoulder, is a walking woman wearing a blue ensemble, a green hat with a feather and rose as well as a yellow fur scarf and muffs.
On the left side is a letter, written in French, adressed to the old man and denouncing his actions.
