Oval portrait mounted on a cardboard folio, itself inserted into a pocket-sized sheet. The photograph depicts Marguerite WARRAIN, wife of Louis BASCHET. She is wearing a dark-colored dress with a fur collar. Her hair is cut short, as was the fashion in the post-war period.

Marguerite Trinidad was the daughter of Francis WARRAIN (1867-1940), a French artist, philosopher, and mathematician. She married on June 20, 1919, René Louis BASCHET (1889-1972), owner and director of the magazine L'Illustration.
