Ink and watercolor portrait on postcard paper depicting a man caricature identified on a back as "Estrogo". The young man is dressed in a beige colored suit, worn with a white shirt and a red tie. He is wearing a large "Umbertino" type hat adormed with two blue grosgrain laces.

The "Umbertino" hat is a type of soft felt hat (also called "Garenne" in France because it's was usually made in coney rabbit hair) which met with great success among young men between the Turin exhibition in 1900 and the WW1. It disappears after the war to be replaced by its competitor, the "Borsalino".
