Paper photograph depicting Ellen DREW (born Esther Loretta RAY, 1914 – 2003), an American film actress, in Paramount's "Buck Benny Rides Again" (1940), dressed in a pale blue and silver dinner and evening gown by Edith HEAD. The gown itself has a sweeping, full skirt with high waistline and molded bodice. Silver embroidery in a scalloped design outlines the upward waistline detail and also serves as shoulder straps. A casual jacket of the same pale blue crepe has silver embroidery, too, and turns the dress into a dinner costume. The look is completed with a silver bag and matching blue suede gloves.Material
