Cabinet format photograph depicting a young woman, a famous French actress, Gabrielle-Charlotte REJU, known as Réjane (1856 - 1920). She is represented in a scene costume for the role of Adrienne in "Ma camarade", a theater piece written by Henri MEILHAC et Philippe GILLE, played in Palais-Royal theater in 1883. The gown consists of a Japanese kimono with floral motifs, a large paper leaf fan, a high updo hairstyle in Japanese way, attached with floral pins and a tiny fan, and a pair of small round earrings with a dark stone in the center, surrounded with a rhinestone frame.Materials
