Charles PERNELLE (French, 1836-1897)

Charles PERNELLE was born on June 15, 1836 in Sagy (Saône-et-Loire) in a farming family. He married, on April 21, 1866, Eugenie DUHAUT, store lady. He worked successively in Vesoul, Gray, Luxeuil-les-Bains. PERNELLE's career took off in Belfort, where he lived in the Faubourg des Ancêtres in July 1868 and worked in the Faubourg de France where he is still listed in 1886. Five years later, in 1891, he lived in the Faubourg de Montbéliard. He opened branches in Montbéliard (Doubs), in Vesoul then in Epinal (Vosges). Charles Pernelle ended his career in Audincourt where he died on November 5, 1897.
