Georges Edmond DARGOUGE (French, Paris 1897 - 1990 Boulogne-Billancourt)

Georges Edmond DARGOUGE is a French painter located in 6 rue Gustave NADAUD Paris 16, who notably produced landscapes, seascapes, portraits, genre scenes and nudes. Georges Edmond DARGOUGE was born on March 27, 1897 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. He was a student of Fernand Cormon, Charles Fouqueray, Ferdinand Humbert and Pierre Laurens. Professor of drawing at the École Polytechnique, he exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1920 and obtained a bronze medal in 1924 (this year he also won the second Grand Prix de Rome) and a silver medal in 1929. Georges Edmond DARGOUGE died on May 5, 1990 in Boulogne-Billancourt.
