Description
Men's suit consisting of double-breasted black velour dinner jacket with peaked silk satin trimmed lapels, same fabric waistcoat and wool barathea tuxedo trousers. The dinner jacket has three pairs of black buttons, and four more on each sleeve, two deep patch pockets by the sides and one chest leaflet pocket, all edged with black satin piping; black velvet waistcoat with the same trimming closed with five buttons, has two leaflet pockets at front and black moire rear part; the tuxedo wool barathea trousers with high waistband have silk satin stripes by outside seams, zip fastening and three buttons on the waist.
Yves Saint Laurent opened his Pret-a-Porter House YSL Rive Gauche in 1967 where he was starting to shift his focus from Haute Couture to Ready-to-wear. This suit came from Croatian - English ballet dancer Jelko YURESHA's (1937-2020) wardrobe.
The suit accompanied by white cotton shirt with lilac Chinese patterns “Дружба / изготовлено в КНР” (“Friendship / made in China”) and grey velvet bow tie.
