Description
Queen Victoria court diplomat's costume consists of two piece wool with cutaway tailcoat with tall stand collar having deep Alençon lace-trimmed cuff, fancy-cut steel buttons with two working buttonholes, hook & eye closures, faux pockets with shaped flap, pleated tails with deep pockets, padded and quilted silk lining, back of neck has basted on silk bag with wig element. Breeches with fall-front breeches over button fly, wide waistband with watch pocket (hidden inside waistband pocket), lacing back adjustment, suspender buttons, four-button knee closure with strap.
