Description
Full-length photograph of a middle-aged woman known as Louise Charlotte Thaïs Le CAT d'HERVILLY (1792 - 1884), married to Louis François César Le CAT d'HERVILLY (1788 - 1853), count of Canisy. The noble lady is posing sitting in a chair, leaning on the table in dark wood with porcelain marquetry. She is wearing a crinoline dress with a dark lace shawl, which can be a handmade Spanish mantilla in Spanish blondes on bobbin weaving. 

This photograph is typically a "carte de visite" format, format invented by André Adolphe Eugène DISDERI in 1854.
