Women's silver filigree crown with repetitive design of stylized flowers, paisleys, and tiny hearts.Filigree is the art of embroidery with metal thread (cutting, twisting, shaping, and soldering metal threads to make jewelry). Different gauge metal wire is twisted and made into a frame, and this frame is later on filled with other thinner twisted, shaped metal threads to design the form. It is very similar to lace embroidery. Instead of knotting the thread, here, the metal threads are soldered.
