Description
Part of a ballet costume consisting of a black velvet top blouse with silver lamé inserts on cuffs and beige silk crepe triangle on the chest, with silver lamé embroidered with large iridescent cut glass beads and pearls. Comes with a small fake belt purse in same colour velvet with lamé rope decoration.

The costume belonged to ​Alexander Borisovich GODUNOV (Александр Борисович Годунов; November 28, 1949 – May 18, 1995), a Russian-American ballet dancer and film actor, and was worn by him in 1979 ballet play "Romeo and Juliette" in Bolshoi Theatre in the role of Tybalt.

Donation of the Prima ballerina Alla KHANIASHVILLI and her husband the First dancer Vitaly ARTIUSHKIN, from their old personal collection.
