Description
Women's frock in white muslin embroidered with a diagonal trail of flowers in white across the front skirt and around the hem. The sleeves are ruched and embroidered. The frock fastens at the center back with drawstrings at neck and waist. The center back bodice has a loos linen lining. 
Worn by Caroline Ann Mills, grand-daughter of Judge Isaac Mills of Huntington, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Caroline Anne was born in 1792 in New Haven and in 1816 married Dr. Timothy Phelps Beers, who was the head of the Medical Department of Yale University for 25 years.
