Description
Fashion plate taken from the second publication of 'Très Parisien' in 1920. This print features an ensemble by Drecoll, an asymmetric white dress with black trim and silver brooch. One side features a drop shoulder sleeve and, the other, a kimono-like sleeve which, complimented by the crossover bodice of the dress, points to the influence of Japanese clothing at the time. This is accessorised with a green hat and cloak.
Drecoll was a haute couture house established from 1904 to 1930 and was founded by Mr. and Mrs. de Wagner in Vienna. In 1906, Baron Christoff Von Drecoll opened his house in Paris.
