Description
Small notebook, with the back and front hand embellished with tiny glass beads called "sablé" forming spiral floral ornaments on white background. The interior is lined with ivory colour silk and contains a paper notebook. The dance card closes with a long silk ribbon.

These very small glass beads were produced in Venice and called "sablé" from the French word sable, because they look like small grain of sand. They are typical of the Rococo era of Venice.
