Miniature scarecrow brooch comprised of gold toned foxtail chain fringe, to simulate the appearance of straw, with a faceted transparent rhinestone for the head, topped with decorative hand painted black top hat.Such type of brooches, very popular at the end of 1950s - beginning of 1960s, was due to a huge popularity of the film "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), which was reintroduced to the public with the appearance of the television in 1956.
