Description
Solid silver chatelaine or clavandier, gilded and decorated with two miniature paintings of a woman with easel and an artists palette. Pearl and blue enamel decor.

Unlike the Chatelaine, the Clavandier was formerly exclusively for the use of key ring. It could be the key of the house like that of the jewelry box or the women's Desk (called Billet Doux)
