This engraving depicts two women wearing the same dress to show both the front and back and the array of colours possible.It is an evening dress, with a low on the shoulders, heart-shaped neckline, widened by the puffy sleeves. A row of bows goes down the middle of the dress until the pointed bottom of the bustle, which ends in a wider bow with loose ribbons. As can be better seen on the pink dress, there are four pleats along the neckline to decorate even more and mark its shape.
