Description
Needlework (technique know as "petit point) representing a neoclassical pavilion (Probably inspired by the "Petit Trianon" located on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles in Versailles, France). Picture is framed in a pitchpin frame (rather characteristic of the 1840s).
High quality needlework executed at the small point like this were worked by young girls attending girls academies all over Europe.
