Description
Printed midi dress with different shades of blue and green abstract motifs, large epaulettes, trimmed on the collar and cuffs with black velvet.

Former wardrobe of Madame Claude Bignon, wife of Doctor Paul BIGNON, Honorary President of the Order Council and Former Municipal Councilor of Vichy. The Bignon family had owned the "Chalet des Roses" in Vichy since 1885 (Similar chalets imitating the one built by Napoleon III on the edge of a new park). The Bignon family chalet was built in 1864 by Achille FOULD, the finance minister of Napoleon III. It was occupied by other personalities who stayed there such as the court of Saint Petersburg in the person of the Grand Duke of Oldenburg, the Grand Duchess Marie of Russia (sister of the Tsar) or the Khedive of Egypt, Ismaïl Pasha.
