Description
Blackened rosewood case inlaid on the lid with gothic revival motifs in brass and mother of pearl. Contains utensils in silver and steel for sewing and manicure, including a pair of scissors, a thimble, a needle holder, a dotting needle with large ear, an ear cleaner, a pencil, a hook (not original), two crystal flasks, scent bottle with salts and silver top (not original), and a dance card notebook in ivory, lined with purple silk. Under the lid a large mirror with neo-gothic details in ivory colour velvet with pinchbeck inserts. The box also has two interior compartments: the one between the crystal bottles, hiden with a red velvet pillow lid, and the other accesible after opening with two keys (one is missing) the front doors.
