Description
An ivory silk satin chatelaine purse bag with a silvery semi-circular frame and push-button clasp, embossed with nude Greek gods and bull heads, a chain handle with a faun mask on a clip, that fastens to the belt. The bag is embroidered with silk thread daisies along the outline, the central medallions are hand painted on the velvet and depict a pastoral scene with an angel and a house on one side, and a pastoral rural landscape on the other, inside is the original ivory muslin lining, removed during restoration.
