Gilt bronze stand and frame for miniature portrait. The stand takes the form of a column with a round base on three lions feet, embellished with palmettes. The column features knurling spaced between four rings. Atop the column is an eagle perched on an egg, with a hook and bow protruding from its mouth. A ring is screwed into the ovular frame which hangs from the hook. The frame is filled with plaster and features a convex glass protector. Underneath the base of the column a square washer and through rod is visible.Materials
