Both woman sport cloche hats, and wear their coats at their shoulders over wool dresses,. Pavlovna has a black dog in her arms. Valentin wears a plain suit and holds a homburg hat.

Maria Pavlovna the Younger (1890-1958) was a Russian grand duchess, the daughter of Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich, youngest son of Tsar Alexander II, and Princess Alexandra of Greece. A prominent figure in the Romanov exile community after the Russian Revolution, she lived in Europe and the U.S., where she worked as a fashion designer and wrote a memoir, Education of a Princess (1930).

Grace MOORE (1898-1947) was an American soprano and Hollywood actress nicknamed the "Tennessee Nightingale." A Metropolitan Opera star known for blending opera with popular film roles, her career bridged classical and mass entertainment until her untimely death in a plane crash.

Valentín PARERA (1895-1986) was a spanish stage and film actor active in the 1920s-40s, known for zarzuelas (musical comedies) and early Spanish-language talkies. He collaborated with directors like Florián REY in La Hermana San Sulpicio (1934). He was exiled to Argentina post-Spanish Civil War, continuing his career in Latin American cinema.
