Description
Spring long cape coat in ivory colour silver brocade with floral pattern, embroidered on the back with Swarovski crystals and silver thread, decorated on the collar with ostrich feathers. The coat has red silk lining.
This coat is the former property of Alexandra Feodorovna, born Princess Alix of Hesse and by Rhine, granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, the spouse of Nicholas II, the last Empress of Russia. This cape was worn by the Empress the 6 May 1898 during the ceremony of the launching of squadron battleship "Peresvet" in the Baltic sea.
