Pair of hand screens decorated on both sides with similar vegetal and geometric motifs. The first engraved sheet with a geometric pattern and slightly smaller is glued on an octagonal cardboard. The second engraved sheet with a vegetal motif is glued on the top of the first, its petal-shaped border rounded the pattern. In the center, a round engraving completed the hand screen.This pair of screens is a part of a larger set (6, 8 ... see 12 screens) with the theme Cupid, the God of love. On one of them, Cupid is picking up a leaf from a plant, his ark and arrow are on the ground. On the second, Cupid is on a raft using his arrow like mat to attach a sail and his archer as an oar.
On the back of the screens, engravings representing landscapes. On one of them an oriental landscape, on the other a western landscape.
