Description
Futuristic feminine costume made of black jersey and silver lamé on which pieces of foam and strips of plastic are applied. This costume was designed by Bernard DAYDE, made by the sewing workshops of the Paris National Opera, worn by Evelyne HERBIN for the role of a friend of Thésée in the ballet in two acts "Bacchus et Ariane" composed by Albert ROUSSEL and presented at the Paris National Opera, Palais Garnier, in 1967.
An identical costume, but worn by Emilia GOBIN, is preserved at the Center Nationale du Costume de Scène in Moulin, France.
