A dress clip in "shocking" pink lacquered plastic representing three stylized flowers with a metal clip mecanism on the back.

"Rose shocking" also called shocking pink is a color name launched for a shade of fuchsia by Elsa SCHIAPARELLI in 1937. A few years earlier, she met the parurier Jean CLEMENT, husband of one of her sales assistants; Elsa SCHIAPARELLI makes him present in 1936 models of fabrics following a study on the pink color. SCHIAPARELLI stops at one exemple, exclaiming: "This, I'm going to take it, and we're going to call it the Shocking Pink".
