Description
Advertising fan for Champagne Saint-Marceaux, Reims. The fan was especially made in Japan and imported for the French market, and represent on the rice paper leaf a hand painted sea shore landscape in the center, surrounded with stylized white and gold chrysanthemum, red and blue flower garlands and scrolled golden frames. The handle is made of painted white wood with gold details.

Thanks to international and national industrialization competition and free trade are developing with the expansion of maritime and rail trade, multiple chain stores are also growing: they are gigantic, there are a lot of staff, shop windows, prices are displayed, all is done in a luxurious setting. There is more and more demand for advertising, which takes a huge step forward by putting similar publicity objects on mass production for different brands.
