Description
Paper photograph on cardboard base, representing a portrait of a middle aged wealthy woman standing in a photographer's studio leaning on a bench on the forest background. The lady is wearing a winter gown consisting of a long fur stole covering her neck and the shoulders, a matching fur muff, and a long dress, with a finely pleated bottom of the skirt, separated from the main part with floral embroidered border, and richly embroidered with beads bodice. Her updo bun hairstyle is hidden under a large hat with ostrich feathers.
Presumed portrait of the mother of a famous French actress, dancer and singer, Arlette DORGÈRE.
