Description
Paper photograph depicting the dancer Mlle Jickiss posing in her “Queen of Paradise” costume for the Palace Royal. The woman’s hair is in an afro style, she is topless wearing only a high low skirt of sheer leaf-shaped strips of fabric with fake leaves and berries around her waist. She is adorned with light high heels, rings, bracelets, and an anklet. She is standing in front of a foliage backdrop.

Mlle Jickiss was a Parisian cabaret vedette, who started her career in 1923, and became a permanent performer at Concert Mayol from 1923 to 1926, famous for her nude roles in "Revue toute nue" (Naked review), "Quel beau nu!" (What a beautiful nude!) and "Très excitante" (Very exciting), where the costumes for all the roles were created by Paul POIRET himself.
