Letter box made of burgundy velvet with finely cut wooden detailing around the edges. On the front is a beaded depiction of the castle in ruins and on the back is debosssed in gold "R.J. 1865" encircled by wooden detailing. Along three sides of the box are golden ridges mimicking the ridges of the sides of a closed book. On the inside, the box is lined by nacreous white paper with the Chichagov family coat of arms stamped on the inside.Materials
