Description
Paper photograph portrait of the actress Hedda HOPPER wearing a gown in which brown velvet is gathered for the skirt and the top of the dress is cream-colored lace embroidered in beads. The cream lace material is shown under a slit in the velvet skirt on the right hip. The gown has a drop waist with the hemline below the hips, long butterfly sleeves, and a crew neckline. The woman is adorned with two opera-style pearl necklaces and her hair is in a bob style, parted to the side, with finger waves.
Hedda HOPPER (1885 - 1966) was an actress, gossip columnist, and major proponent of the Hollywood blacklist.
