A paper photograph portrait of a woman, likely Josette DAY (1914 - 1978), a French actress, in Harcourt Studios posing next to a large piller with a renaissance vace. The model is wearing a floor length evening gown with a high to low waist of gathers, sweep train, scoop neck, and gathered cap sleeves. The dress is form fitting around hem of the neckline, the center front, and torso. The woman’s hair is shoulder length with brushed curls, a side part, and is pinned out of her face. The photographer manually retouched the photograph to give the model more prominent eyelashes.Material
