Description
Kokoshnik hat, traditional Russian female headdress covered with purple and red cotton, decorated with golden embroideries in metal thread representing foliage and floral patterns. 

This type of kokoshnik was called "morshen" (borushka, ochapok, sbornik, sling) with a protrusion on the crown of the head, assembled in folds in front, and was typical for Arkhangelsk, Vologda provinces, and north of the Vyatka province.
