Description
Watercolour on ivory miniature portrait of Firmin OUTARDEL, a gentleman from Calvados, Normandy, wearing a blue navy jacket with a striped yellow and white lining, with a white shirt matching a bow tied scarf. He has a pale skin, blues eyes and long grey hair, and represented on a grey background. The painting is circled in brass medallion frame with a small ring on the top, lined inside with paper, and having a glass back.

According to the inscription on the back, Firmin OUTARDEL was the father of François Ludovic OUTARDEL (1843 - 1900), Domain Registration and Stamp Checker, who was himself the father of Suzanne, Charles and Georges OUTARDEL.
