Description
Medium length metal chain necklace with a metal snake pendant and a green glass carved cabochon attached. The snake pendant is circular with the tail poking out and attached to the chain, as well as the head poking out the opposite direction. The glass cabochon is carved to mimic a beetle with the etchings being painted gold. Necklace is fastened by a box clasp.
Ancient Egyptians believed that wearing snake imagery would protect the wearer from harm, it was also a symbol for strength and for the goddess Isis. In Ancient Egypt culture the beetle represents development, growth and effectiveness.
