Description
Fashion photograph depicting a presentation of spring-summer 1969 season collection by the House of Chanel. The gown depicted in the photograph, number 37 in the defile, is ankle-length, made from white tulle. It is cut sleeveless, sinched at the waist, with a wide skirt and flower embroidery on the bottom of the dress and around the shoulders and neckline. The dress is accessorized with a light white tulle bolero, pearls necklaces of three ranging lengths, with an openwork large pendant in the center of the neck with pending tear shaped pearls, and a pair of large beaded earrings.
On the right, among the guests on the front row, there are Claude Jacqueline POMPIDOU (1912 - 2007), wife of Georges POMPIDOU, 19th President of the French Republic, spotted near Simone Micheline BODIN (1925 - 2015), known professionally as Bettina or Bettina Graziani, a French fashion model of the 1940s and 1950s.
