Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Jeulin, destined for a German and British magazines, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German, French and English. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in ​a sprigtime dress with the skirt set with a large volant of small light seams and carries a broad band, low in front and high upwards at the back, over which is an imitation of chenille vine shoots set with full lilac grapes in relief and green leaves. The back of the gown, in demi-traine shows a large band of velvet and the same trimming, and vine ornament and foliage is repeated on a smart bolero made all of crushed folds. A plastron vest of dented real lace over brown velvet ribbon, there are large cuffs of the same material covering the wrists. Florentine hat, rather large, has full trimmings of brown velvet ribbon and a sprinkling of fully blossomed roses on bushy twigs. The lady is leaning on a parasol sun umbrella, and wearing a pair of simple pearl earrings.
