Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Vincent, destined for a German and British magazines, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German, French and English. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in a delicate rose broadcloth dress, lined with deep red taffeta, which is seen in the folds thrown up by the flaring cut of the skirt. Broad cream lace in bands of insertion is laid on down the front of the skirt, and runs around it twice just below the knees. A broad band of the lace forms the collar and the front fold of the loose bodice, and a wide pointed shoulder cape of similar lace completes the trimming. On the lace front fold are two pairs of black satin bows with pearl clasps, and the broad soft girdle with its bow and hanging ends at the back, is also of black satin. The sleeve has a wide soft puff of the cloth, falling from the shoulder to the top of the tight lace undersleeve. A band of velvet just above the edge of the lace completes this undersleeve.
