Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Paquin, destined for a German and British magazines, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German, French and English. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in a summer outside gown, with the skirt of reseda cloth, laid in folds about the hips and finished at the lower edge with four moderately deep flounces, falling one over the other. With it is worn a jacket with basques in reseda velvet and revers of a shade deeper tone, which opens in front over a loose vest and jabot of chiffon and lace. A deep collarette of cloth, in three rows fails slightly over the shoulders. The short upper sleeve of velvet reaches barely to the elbows, where it is finished by a wide turn-back cuff of cloth, in revers-shape held in place by a large fancy button. The loose pull of the under sleeve is of chiffon and lace. Pocket flaps of cloth with large buttons ornament the basques.
