Description
Paper photograph of a Parisian model of Maison Jeulin, destined for a German magazine, with a printed on tracing paper explanatory text in German. The photograph shows a young woman dressed in a sports costume for winter ice skating, consisting of a jacket and a dress in grey-blue homespun wool. The lower edge of the skirt and a small yoke of burnt white taffeta are surrounded by a graceful passementerie — little silver flowers on a white, black-edged satin ribbon. A very short, distinctive bolero is used to get to and from the ice. It has the same passementerie and is bordered by two-finger-wide dark blue velvet stripes. A velvet yoke with a stand-up collar, enlivened by narrow silver borders, and high cuffs on the slightly wide sleeves are very decorative. A deep-blue felt hat, the outer brim of which is made of shaded red roses in full bloom, completes the look, as well as a pair of high Russian leather lace-up boots in deep red color, specifically chosen taking ice skating into account.
